The Sahitya Akademi Awards 2024 have been announced in 21 languages, celebrating outstanding contributions across genres such as poetry, novels, short stories, essays, literary criticism, plays, and research. It is recognized as one of India’s most prestigious literary honors, the awards were established in 1954 by the Sahitya Akademi to acknowledge excellence in literature. However, it is presented annually in 24 recognized languages, these awards aim to promote Indian literature, cultural diversity, and unity by honoring exceptional authors for their remarkable works.
9. National Sports Awards 2024
The National Sports Awards 2024 celebrates the exceptional achievements and contributions of athletes, coaches, and sports institutions in India. These prestigious awards, instituted by the Government of India, aim to honor excellence, dedication, and sportsmanship in various disciplines. Recognizing the relentless efforts of individuals and organizations in advancing Indian sports, the awards serve as a testament to the country’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting a vibrant sports culture. The awards will be presented at a grand ceremony by the President of India on 17th January 2025 at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
10. 71st National Film Awards for the Year 2023
The judges for the 71st National Film Awards for 2023 have announced their winners on 1st August 2025. This year’s prizes included 16 entries from reviewers, 27 books, 115 non-feature film entries, and 332 feature film entries. Dr. Ajay Nagabhushan MN, Ms. Mattu J. P. Singh, Shri Ashutosh Gowariker, and Shri P. Sheshadri made the announcement.
