Padma Awards 2025: The Padma Awards, among India’s highest civilian honors, have been announced for 2025. These awards recognize exceptional contributions across various fields, including arts, science, social work, public affairs, and more. Instituted in 1954, the awards are conferred in three categories: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri, ranked in order of precedence. The President of India presents these awards during a ceremonial event held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The President of India has conferred a total of 139 Padma Awards for the year 2025, including one duo instance, where the award is counted as one. This year’s list comprises 7 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri Awards. Among the recipients, 23 are women, 10 are NRI/PIO/OCI/foreigners, and 13 awards are posthumous, recognizing exceptional contributions across various fields.
