PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana: The Government of India has launched the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) on July 16, 2025. This programme aims at boosting the income and productivity of farmers.
The Union cabinet approved the PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana, which will improve post-harvest storage capacity, irrigation infrastructure, and agricultural productivity. The scheme uses a convergence model. This means the scheme will bring together resources from multiple government schemes and departments to create a focused plan for each district. This way, farmers will receive necessary support in multiple areas, such as seeds, water, credit, and market access. All these aspects aim at helping farmers improve their overall income and sustainability.
