SEBI Grade A is NOT an annual exam. Historical notification years: 2018, 2020, 2022, 2024, and 2025. Notably, 2024 and 2025 saw back-to-back notifications, likely due to SEBI’s expansion plans.

SEBI Grade A 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates should carefully verify the stream-wise qualification requirements, age relaxation provisions, and document eligibility. Final-year students can also apply, provided they submit proof of qualification before the interview stage.

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
  • A valid government-issued identity certificate is required.

For 2026, the age cut-off date will be specified in the official notification. In 2025, candidates had to be born on or after October 1, 1995 (max age 30 years).

Important: Final-year students are eligible to apply and appear for Phase I & II. However, they must produce their final marksheet/degree certificate before the interview stage. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of candidature.

Candidates may apply for a maximum of 2 streams, with separate online applications and separate fees for each.

SEBI Grade A 2026 Application Process

Candidates will be able to apply for SEBI Grade A 2026 online through the official SEBI website after the notification is released. The application process includes registration, document upload, form submission, and online fee payment within the prescribed application window. 

How to Apply (Once Notification Is Released)

Candidates can complete the SEBI Grade A 2026 application process online by registering on the official website, uploading the required documents, filling in their details, and submitting the application fee before the deadline. 

  • Step 1: Visit https://www.sebi.gov.in and navigate to the ‘Careers’ section.
  • Step 2: Click on the ‘Recruitment of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) 2026’ link.
  • Step 3: Click ‘Apply Online’ – select ‘New Registration’ and enter your basic details. Note the provisional registration number and password.
  • Step 4: Upload scanned passport-size photograph (200×230 px, 20–50 KB), signature (140×60 px, 10–20 KB), left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.
  • Step 5: Fill in educational qualifications, work experience, and other details. Click ‘Save and Next’.
  • Step 6: Preview, pay the application fee online, and submit. Download/print the final application form.

Application Fee (Based on 2025 Notification)

The application fee is expected to remain similar to the previous recruitment cycle, with different fee structures for General/OBC/EWS and reserved category candidates. Applicants should complete the fee payment successfully to ensure their application is accepted.

SEBI Grade A Admit Card

The SEBI Grade A admit card for Phase I and Phase II is released on the official SEBI website and IBPS portal a few weeks before the examination. Candidates must download their hall ticket and carry it along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre. Entry to the examination hall is not permitted without the admit card.

The selection process has three phases. Phase I is qualifying; merit is based on Phase II + Interview.

  • Exception: For Legal and Engineering (Electrical) streams, due weightage up to 3.75% is given to relevant experience.
  • Conducted in Mumbai (or as specified). Candidates may choose Hindi or English as the language of interview.
  • SEBI verifies all eligibility documents at this stage.

SEBI Grade A 2026 Selection Process

The selection process consists of three successive phases. Candidates must qualify each phase to proceed to the next.

SEBI Grade A Result

The SEBI Grade A result is announced on the official SEBI and IBPS websites after each stage of the selection process. Phase I results are usually declared within a few weeks of the exam, while the final result and merit list are published after the completion of Phase II and the interview round.

No. As of June 2026, the SEBI Grade A 2026 notification has not been released. It is expected around October–November 2026 after the conclusion of the 2025 recruitment cycle.

What is the age limit for SEBI Grade A 2026?
