UPSC Attempt for SC/ST: Candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories have certain benefits in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. These benefits include relaxed age limits, unlimited attempts, and reserved seats, which provide an advantage in the competitive exam. One of the most notable benefits for SC/ST candidates is the unlimited number of attempts in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, up to the upper age limit. While candidates from other categories have a limited number of attempts, SC/ST candidates can attempt the exam as many times as they wish. However, they have to attempt within the prescribed age limit.

If you are in the SC/ST category and also fall under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) or Ex-servicemen categories, you can receive additional age relaxation based on both categories.
