The UPSC Prelims Result 2024 has been released for the exam held on June 16, 2024. The UPSC Preliminary Examination is the initial and crucial stage in the journey toward becoming a civil servant. The Prelims consist of two papers: General Studies Paper 1 and General Studies Paper 2 (CSAT). Once the UPSC civil service examination 2024 result is out, successful candidates will have to register themselves for the UPSC Mains 2024 exams, which are scheduled to be held on September 20, 2024.

Overview of UPSC Prelims 2024

UPSC prelims 2024 was conducted in offline mode using pen and paper format. The exam consisted of two papers: General Studies Paper 1 and CSAT-General Studies Paper 2. The marks scored in Paper 1 are used to determine a candidate’s eligibility for the next stage of the examination, depending on the cutoff. CSAT is qualifying in nature, as candidates have to score 33% (66.67) marks to qualify.

UPSC has released the UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2024 on its official website. Candidates can visit UPSC’s official website and check the PDF file containing their name and roll number to confirm their qualifications. Follow the steps given below to check your UPSC Prelims Result 2024:

  • Step 1: Visit UPSC’s official website at www.upsc.gov.in
  • Step 2: Select the ‘Examination’ tab and click on the ‘Active Examination’ option.
  • Step 3: Look for a Notification titled ‘Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024’.
  • Step 4: Click on the Notification and you will be directed to a page containing all notifications related to UPSC Prelims 2024.
  • Step 5: Click on the Written Result link. A PDF file will be downloaded
