  • Make Notes: Just reading the newspaper is not enough. Candidates have to make short notes on the topics that can be asked in IR.
  • Study Using Atlas: The places mentioned in the newspaper have to be located on a map and analyzed in detail to understand the features of the location and associated information, such as rivers, mountains, borders, etc.
  • Special Focus on India: UPSC asks questions about topics associated with India. Hence, candidates have to focus on groupings and events associated with India.
  • Regular Revision: The news that appears multiple times has to be studied in detail. Candidates have to revise them multiple times before the exam.
