PSLV-C56 Mission:

• This is the 58th flight of PSLV and using the 17th vehicle with Core Alone Configuration.
• Core Alone version of the rocket means the vehicle would not use solid strap-on motors on its sides in the first stage as compared to other variants like PSLV-XL, QL, and DL which use six, four or two boosters.

About the Worldcoin Initiative:

• Worldcoin is an initiative to establish a digital network accessible to everyone, allowing them to have a stake in the digital economy. 
• This involves Worldcoin volunteers, known as ‘Orb operators,’ using a device called “Orb” to scan people’s iris patterns and gather their biometric data. 
• With this data, individuals can obtain a World ID through the World app, enabling them to receive the Worldcoin [WLD] cryptocurrency at regular intervals or conduct transactions using their World ID where applicable.
• This process, known as “proof of personhood,” ensures that individuals cannot register multiple times to gain crypto rewards.

• The Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship recently launched the mobile application of ULLAS.

About the ULLAS (Understanding Lifelong Learning for All in Society) :

• Through the app, learners can engage in diverse learning resources through the DIKSHA portal of NCERT. 
• The ULLAS app can be used for registration of learners and volunteers either through self-registration or by surveyors.
• ULLAS will focus on promoting functional literacy, vocational skills, and many important life skills like financial literacy, legal literacy, digital literacy, and empowerment of citizens to involve in nation-building of the country. 
• It imparts basic education, digital and financial literacy and critical life skills to citizens aged 15 and above who lost the opportunity to go to school.
