About Vikram-1
- India’s First Private Orbital Launch Vehicle: Vikram-1 is India’s first privately developed orbital-class launch vehicle, demonstrating indigenous private-sector capability to place satellites into orbit.
- Mission Aagaman: The maiden orbital mission of Vikram-1, symbolising the beginning of India’s private orbital launch era.
- Launch Vehicle Specifications: A three-stage launch vehicle capable of placing up to 350 kg payloads into a 450 km Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
- Advanced Indigenous Technologies: Features an all-carbon composite structure, solid-fuel propulsion, and an indigenously developed 3D-printed liquid engine, making it lighter, stronger and cost-efficient.
