Russia’s Mercenary group ‘Wagner’ had announced an armed rebellion to oust the Russian Defence Minister, but called off the mutiny after the intervention of Belarus President.

About Wagner Group:

• Wagner Group is the mercenary organisation which was first identified in 2014, during Russia’s annexation of Crimea. 
• It’s essentially a network of contractors that supply soldiers for hire and the group got registered as a company in 2022.
• Besides Ukraine, Wagner Group has reportedly been active in a number of African and West Asian countries.
